The aim of the project was to create a type specimen publication that comprehensively presents the visual and technical qualities of the Amador font – a modern, expressive blackletter (Gothic) typeface designed by Jim Parkinson.
The project aimed to showcase the potential of this typeface both in strong headline typography and in the details.

Motivation
As a fan of calligraphy and blackletter typefaces, I created a Specimen that will be a worthy publication representing one of the first scripts to survive for over a thousand years. Amador is the absolute summary of the era of script.
The Specimen was modeled after medieval manuscripts, with an accent of American daily newspapers, in the design of which the font's creator, Jim Parkinson, actively participated.
